Those Were The Days is a track from Jason's forthcoming album. This song was written about Jason's time growing up in rural Queensland, in the Lockyer Valley about an hour west of Brisbane.

On the 27th of May, 2013, Jason's family lost a dear friend "Franklyn" (who'd been a large part of that time of Jason's life (far left in album picture circa 1981), after a long battle with cancer. He defied Doctors' predictions and stayed with us all a lot longer than expected, determined to attend Jason's wedding in early May. He made it to Jason's wedding and was truly a welcomed presence for Jason and his family. However, sadly, Franklyn could not hold on much longer, and slipped away peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by Jason and his family.

So, in honor of a truly wonderful man, Jason dedicates Those Were The Days to you, Franklyn. You will be truly missed and always loved, mate. See you on the other side :-)
